টপিকঃ Dial Up Internet problem

Hello, I'm new to the forums, also new to Linux Mint 13, previously I've used Ubuntu 12.04LTS. I'm facing a problem in Linux Mint 13, i.e  I can't connect to the internet. I use a dial up internet connection, my isp is Smile. It requires a username and password to dial to the internet. Also, a different mac address.
Okay, I've used the internet on Ubuntu 12.04 the last day, by changing my mac address first and then created a dialler in pppoeconf.

Changed mac address by:

sudo service network-manager stop

sudo ifconfig eth0 hw ether xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx

sudo service network-manager restart

^this basically changed my mac address, and then

sudo pppoeconf

and then followed the process and chose "yes" on every command. Created the dialler, i.e hamilton@smile.com.bd also with password. and then internet was connected, but the same process ain't working on Linux. I've restarted my computer, re done the whole operation, but still it shows that I'm disconnected from the internet.

Edit: When I try to create the dialler via ppoeconf, it shows creating on eth1, instead of eth0, could that be the problem? and I've no idea how on earth eth1 came from.

What should I do now?
PS. Now I'm in Windows 7
